Eastern Washington University, located 25 minutes from Spokane, is home to many commuters accessing a first-rate education in the Palouse landscape. Spokane Transit Authority desired a new transit stop reflecting the vibrancy of the college, which is undeniably EWU.
Mapping campus pedestrian flow through extensive drone footage led the team to make a structure purely reflecting the way riders approach, queue, and load onto buses. The solution is a red plate steel pavilion directing visitors to the central quad of campus; go Eagles!
