For over 100 years, Spokane’s Franklin Elementary School has provided an excellent education to tens of thousands of students and served as a community gathering place.
This project involved the thoughtful restoration and expansion of the original 1909 building, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. Portions of the existing building were remodeled, and a 52,000 square foot addition was designed to complement the existing building’s design. The scope of work also included the removal of portable classrooms, upgrades to playgrounds and landscaping, improved traffic flow and expanded parking.
