Liberty Pool

Spokane, WA

Liberty Park is located just south of Interstate 90 east of downtown Spokane. The Liberty Pool was constructed in the mid-1980’s and was no longer functioning efficiently or providing the programming desired by the neighborhood. The 25-year old facility was leaking and the existing bathhouse, although built with tilt-up concrete panels, was poorly configured.

ALSC developed various options for renovation of the pool and bathhouse facilities. Ultimately it was determined that the most cost-effective solution was to renovate and expand the bathhouse and replace the pool tank. The new pool is reflective of the desires of the neighborhood users and features a large zero-depth beach area, in-pool play structure, vortex, large double-water slide feature and 6-lane lap pool. A separate classroom / party rental room is included as a secondary means of generating revenue to offset operating costs.
