Located on the Freeman School District campus, the Palouse Region Transportation Cooperative includes a maintenance shop, training room, offices and covered parking for 22 buses. The maintenance building includes two maintenance bays, one wash bay and parts storage. The public portion of the building includes offices for the Transportation Administrator and Operations Manager and a training room with kitchenette and restrooms. This space has secured access, allowing it to be used for after-hours meetings.
ALSC’s design draws upon the material and building form vocabulary established by the existing campus - the newly renovated High School and Elementary Schools (also designed by ALSC). The shop area is constructed of concrete masonry block – durable, long lasting and economical. The public portion of the building features frame construction with metal siding to match materials used elsewhere on campus.
