This new 58,500 square foot elementary school was designed to replace an existing school in a residential neighborhood. The use of brick, window forms, accents of metal and glass provide a timeless character and emphasize its importance as a civic and public building for the community. The exterior and interior character relate to its park-like setting with the use of natural colors and materials.
A vital part of the building’s mission is to honor Green Building Practices. The school was designed with environmentally sustainable measures to achieve LEED Silver Certification. This benefits the School District by lowering energy and maintenance costs, provide a teaching tool for the students and creating a healthy educational environment.
