K&L Gates LLP comprises approximately 1,800 lawyers who practice in 33 offices located on three continents. The office in Spokane was designed to create parity with their offices in Seattle and Portland but with a local connection.
Located in the Bank of Whitman Building the main lobby and reception area showcase local artists with blown glass, paintings and commissioned hanging sculpture created by renowned Spokane artist Louis Kodis.
The office is zoned into three major areas: public space, workspace and secure space. Extensive glass is used on the inside walls of exterior offices to allow daylight into the interior workspace. Special effects film is used to create privacy and still allow ample daylight.
The project is well tailored with carefully crafted details that create refined flush surfaces; rich in color and minimalist in concept.
