Construction was recently completed on the new Boone Avenue Retail Center for Gonzaga University.
This new $14 million, four-level building provides 650 parking spaces and ground-level dining and retail space for Gonzaga University students as well as area residents. The 250,000 square foot building is located on Hamilton Street on the eastern edge of the Gonzaga campus and is the new home for Gonzaga University’s campus bookstore and several retail businesses.
The building's exterior design incorporates several sculpted panels created by local artist Harold Balazs in the early 1960's. The panels were originally located on the exterior of Gonzaga University's Hughes Hall Science Center. They were removed during its renovation and expansion and had been in storage for the past decade.
